Traxxas

Driveshafts, Jato (Steel constant-velocity) (assembled with inner and outer dust boots) (1 pair)

Discontinued

Steel CV driveshafts reduce rotational mass for quicker acceleration by concentrating mass centrally. The outer U-joint is sealed with a rubber boot for protection, and the U-joint pins are held by ball bearings to prevent loss. These shafts are designed to maintain the Jato's suspension travel, unlike conventional metal shafts.

For the hardcore racer, Jato has available these trick metal driveshafts. They concentrate the mass for less overall rotational mass than the stock Jato driveshafts. This results in even quicker acceleration. The outside U-joint is lubricated and sealed by a rubber boot to protect it from dirt and grime. The U-joint pins are held captive by the ball bearings so you never have to worry about losing a pin. Computer-aided design permitted Traxxas engineers to design these shafts to handle the extreme articulation generated by Jato's increased suspension travel. On Jato there is less than 1mm of total dogbone plunge over the entyre range of suspension travel. Unlike conventional metal shafts, the Traxxas metal CV shafts do not require you to limit your suspension travel. These are simply the most advanced metal CV driveshafts available.
