We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What this website does
JPerkins.com is a product information and brand resource. We do not sell products directly to consumers through this website. No accounts, purchases, or payment processing take place here. The personal information we collect is therefore limited in scope.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us
We collect personal information when you complete the Traxxas Slipper Pad Recall form at /recall/traxxas-slipper-pad-recall. This includes your name, contact details, postal address, and information about the affected product. This data is collected to fulfil our obligations under product safety recall requirements. We will use it only for that purpose and will not use it for marketing.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website, certain information is collected automatically by the services described below. This includes your IP address (which may be anonymised or truncated before storage), your browser type and version, the pages you visit, how long you spend on those pages, and how you arrived at the site.
We also set a small cookie on your device to remember which section of the site you last visited (for example, Mainly Models or Mainly Glues). This is used solely to restore your navigation context on return visits and does not identify you.
Why we collect it and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Processing safety recall registrations | Legal obligation (product safety legislation) and legitimate interests |
| Measuring website usage and improving the site | Legitimate interests |
| Remembering your section preference | Legitimate interests (essential navigation aid) |
| Protecting the website from spam and abuse | Legitimate interests |
Third parties we use
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the website. Each has its own privacy policy.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. Google Tag Manager is used to manage tracking scripts. Data may be transferred to Google servers in the United States under standard contractual clauses. Google does not receive information that identifies you personally. See Google's privacy policy.
Plausible Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. All data is aggregated and anonymised. Plausible is hosted in the EU. See Plausible's privacy policy.
Algolia
Our product search is powered by Algolia. When you use the search box, your search queries are sent to Algolia's servers. Algolia may log queries to improve search relevance. See Algolia's privacy policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile
The recall registration form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a security service that verifies you are human without tracking. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
LoveLocal (store locator)
The "Find a Stockist" page embeds the LoveLocal store locator. If you interact with the map or enter a location, that information is handled by LoveLocal under their own privacy policy. See lovelocal.org.
How long we keep your data
Recall registration data is retained for as long as required by product safety obligations, which is typically a minimum of ten years after the recall is closed. We will inform you if we need to retain your data for longer and why.
Analytics data is retained for 14 months in Google Analytics, after which it is automatically deleted. Aggregated statistical data (from which no individual can be identified) may be retained indefinitely.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Right of access to a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification if the data we hold is inaccurate or incomplete
- Right to erasure (the "right to be forgotten") in certain circumstances
- Right to restriction of processing in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
