Reading the labels

More thrust

Pitch-to-diameter ratio ≤ 0.55. Strong pull and climb. Easier on motors — good for beginners, heavy models, and slow flyers.

e.g. 10×4.7, 11×5

Balanced

Ratio 0.56–0.75. The general-purpose sweet spot — decent speed and pull with good motor efficiency.

e.g. 10×6, 9×6, 8×5

Cruise / sport

Ratio 0.76–0.90. More top speed, still versatile. Suits fast fixed-wing and sport models with capable motors.

e.g. 8×6, 7×6

More speed

Ratio > 0.90. Maximum airspeed. High pitch loads the motor harder — only suited to powerful drive systems.

e.g. 6×6, 5×5.5

Higher load

Appears alongside any primary label when pitch ratio, blade count (3+), or both suggest the motor will work significantly harder.
