Details

Seagull's latest large-scale razorback P-47D is a bold, highly detailed replica of the iconic WWII fighter, combining true presence with impressive performance. With a 2.05m (81") wingspan and high-quality pre-installed 3-piece electric retracts, this traditionally-built ARTF is designed for experienced pilots seeking a significant shortcut into the air with an iconic warbird.

Constructed from lightweight balsa and plywood, the airframe supports either a 55-60cc petrol engine or a 12S electric powertrain, offering flexibility in both budget and performance. Scale features include a fully detailed cockpit, fibreglass cowling, drop tank, bombs, pilot figure and, of course, an authentic 57th Fighter Group colour scheme. Functional flaps and harmonised control surfaces ensure smooth handling and scale flight whilst power systems at the upper end of the range deliver an awe-inspiring performance envelope that suits the P-47 down to the ground.

About the original:
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was one of the most rugged and heavily armed fighter-bombers of WWII. Nicknamed the 'Jug', it earned respect for its firepower, resilience and ability to dive at speed. This Wicked Wabbit scheme commemorates a real aircraft flown by Lt James C 'Wabbit' Hare. It's a fitting tribute to the bravery and skill of those who flew these formidable machines into combat.
