In electric models, it prevents sparks flashing over when connecting a drive battery to the controller. He is important. Because even with low operating voltages (~10 V), a spark flashover occurs when the battery is plugged in, which damages the plug contacts. After a certain time, a secure electrical connection can no longer be guaranteed (increased contact resistance, voltage drop, heating, mechanical defects).
