The V8 edition integrates comprehensive engineering upgrades derived from global skipper feedback to drastically improve build quality and on-the-bank reliability without altering the class-legal competitive physics. The sleek, durable moulded ABS hull is factory-painted and paired with an extruded aluminium keel fin and zinc alloy ballast bulb for exceptional righting moment. The high-performance rig utilises extruded carbon-fibre mast and boom tubes to fly 50-micron mylar film racing sails, which are finished with pre-painted flow stripes for immediate wind-tracking visibility.

Central to the V8 specification is the brand-new Digital DF Racing sailwinch servo. This updated unit provides highly consistent line control and superior end-point accuracy over previous setups, Allowing for razor-sharp sail adjustment. Onboard slop has been entirely eliminated by refining the metal rudder arm tolerances and installing a stronger nylon rudder servo arm. Built utilising upgraded stainless steel bearings and 316-grade stainless steel deck hardware, the DF65 V8 is fully equipped to excel in demanding competitive environments.

This model is supplied in the PNP (Plug and Play / ARTR) configuration, arriving completely pre-assembled with the servos installed but leaving the final choice of transmitter and receiver to the skipper.
