A brief history of the model:
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was a rugged, carrier-based fighter that helped turn the tide in the Pacific during World War II. Designed as a successor to the F4F Wildcat, the Hellcat was faster, more heavily armed, and easier to fly. It quickly gained a reputation for dominance in aerial combat, with over 5,000 enemy aircraft downed—more than any other Allied naval aircraft.

Vacuum formed components, hand selected balsa, colour self-adhesive decals, and lightweight tissue help convert this traditional build into a faithful representation of Grumman's carrier-based fighter.
