A brief history of the model:
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G, often referred to as the "Gustav," was one of the most produced and formidable variants of Germany's iconic WWII fighter. Introduced in 1942, the G-model featured a more powerful engine, improved armament, and a refined airframe capable of tackling high-altitude bombers and agile dogfighters alike. Flown by many of the Luftwaffe's top aces, including Erich Hartmann, the Bf 109 G became a symbol of German aerial power during the war.
